Fees and Policies

Initial Consultation:

All of our therapists provide free initial consultations over the phone or via Zoom. These consultations allow us to learn more about you and to answer any questions you may have for us. We know how important the right “fit” is so you are welcome to schedule consultations with multiple therapists!

Cost of therapy:

Associate fees range from $140-200 for 50 minute sessions depending on the therapist you choose to work with. They will discuss fees with you during your initial consultation call.

Fees for Tatra de la Rosa, LMFT are $225 for individual sessions and $250 for couples and families. Professional consultation rates are $200 for 50 minutes.

Longer sessions are available upon request and are prorated depending on the session rate established between you and your clinician.

Cancellation Policy:

We require a minimum of 48 hours notice if you need to cancel for any reason. Our full fee will be charged if you miss an appointment without the required 48-hour notice.

Payments:

Payments are made by credit card via our secure payment portal on Simple Practice. Please make sure you have uploaded card information prior to your first appointment. With advance notice, checks may be accepted if you are working with a therapist in person.

Insurance:

We know that therapy can be a costly investment in one’s mental health and it can be especially difficult when it is not planned for in the budget. However, utilizing your insurance coverage comes at a very high price.

One loses all rights to confidentiality once an insurance company begins to pay for therapy. And if the insurance coverage is provided by an employer, that employer also has the right to information about our work together.

All of this information may go into your permanent medical record. We believe that our work will be most successful without the potential infringement on your confidentiality and for this reason, we do not accept insurance.

If you are comfortable with your employer knowing that you are seeking therapy, we can provide you with an invoice (“superbill”) for services that you have paid for, as some employers allow for reimbursement of medical costs or for them to be paid for with pre-tax dollars or by using your HSA card. If your insurance policy covers “out of network” providers, we will be happy to provide you with an invoice of paid sessions. Please note that some policies will only reimburse you IF a medical diagnosis is assessed.
