The start to a healing journey can feel daunting, but with the hand of a therapist who sees and hears you, it can become a lot more manageable. If you are ready to make changes in life but don’t know where to start, I am here to help. I will support you in your process, in a safe and nurturing space. I believe that humans have an innate capacity to heal and with the support of an interested, connected and supportive therapist, this process can flourish.

My previous experience working with people one-on-one is far ranging from children to adolescents to adults. This lived experience is a strength that I bring to therapy and provides an abundance of empathy, understanding, and hope when working with clients. I support clients through struggles with anxiety, depression, trauma, family and intimate partner relationships, eating disorders, addiction, stress management and more. I utilize Psychodynamic, Internal Family Systems, CBT and DBT, among other modalities, when working with clients.

In addition to working with individual clients, I also work with couples and families and bring to this work a good deal of excitement and hope for positive change. I help by creating a new awareness of how current communication may be disruptive to the harmony of the relationship and help couples in developing calm and direct communication skills to express needs and wants more clearly, decreasing blame and accusation along the way. This shift alone can help couples and families find new ways of seeing and experiencing their relationship, which can lead to greater engagement in the relationship and in more connecting and fulfilling behaviors and interactions. Empowered with intentional communication tools, more empathic understanding for everyone’s feelings and positions, we create an environment for our relationships to thrive and heal, allowing for clear and loving communication and connection.

I include a strengths-based approach to the therapeutic process because it allows for balance in the process. Working with strength and self-compassion can help you in seeing the unique and resilient qualities that you already possess- and these can be utilized to get you to where you want to be.

As a therapist, I am passionate about helping others find their inner resilience in order to grow, heal, and develop while engaging in an affirming and empowering process. I emphasize this relational work and hold that therapeutic change begins with non-judgmental awareness and thrives with a therapist’s empathic attunement to a client. In this setting, we can explore the parts of the self that are often protected, sometimes neglected, but always welcome. During our collaborative work, we are free to look at all parts of the self with open eyes and open hearts.

If you would like to set up a free phone consultation so that we can learn more about each other, please reach out, and we can discuss your needs and what might work for you.
